Hoodboi & Tkay Maidza

Under the name Hoodboi, Roger Schami synthesizes post-disco R&B, house, and left-of-center pop into heady club music that translates to home listening. He has issued a handful of EPs since 2015, from Palm Reader to Sahara, along with several singles during the same timespan. Originally from El Paso and based in Los Angeles since the mid-2000s, Schami started out with TeamSupreme. He founded the collective and label and also designed their graphic identity.
