Combining the urgency of the '90s riot grrrl scene with the snottiness of pop-punk, Human People first burst onto the New York underground with their debut EP, 2016's Sleep Year. The Brooklyn-based four-piece -- Hayley Livingston (vocals/guitar), Marisa Gershenhorn (vocals/guitar), Abby Austin (bass), and Vicki Guillem (drums) -- came together in 2014 after sharing a love of classic New York punk, '60s girl groups, and '90s alt-rock.
