Although they took their name from a song penned by their in-state stoned doom heroes the Obsessed, Rockville, MD, natives Indestroy performed a savage brand of thrash bordering on death metal. Formed in 1983, Indestroy worked their way toward a 1986 demo and, by the release of their eponymous debut album through New Renaissance Records the following year, consisted of vocalist/guitarist Mark Strassburg, bassist Jeff Parsons, guitarist Drew Adrian, and drummer Gus Basilika.
