Biography
Influenced by '90s speed metal -- especially by Bay Area metal/punk crossover bands Cro-Mags and Corrosion of Conformity -- Iron Age formed in their home city of Austin, TX, in 2005. Hoping to further blur the line between hardcore and thrash, after undergoing several changes they eventually decided on a permanent lineup: vocalist Jason Tarpey, drummer Reed Thomas, bassist Matt Jackson, and duel guitarists Matt Jackson and Wade Allison.
