Delivering a more melodic take on dancehall, Jamaica's Jahvillani combines a blend of socio-political lyrics with tales of real life, as heard on his 2021 debut album Dirt to Bentley. Born and raised in Great Pond on the northern coast of Jamaica, Jahvillani grew up listening to Buju Banton, Sizzla, and Vybz Kartel.
