Biography
An impressive improviser, Jamie Baum's 1997 GM release Sight Unheard helped introduce her talents to a wider jazz audience. Baum earned a degree from the New England Conservatory of Music where she studied with Dave Liebman, Richie Beirach, Hubert Laws and Jaki Byard among others. Living in New York since the mid-1980's, she has performed with many top musicians including Paul Motian, Randy Brecker, George Russell, John Abercrombie, Kenny Werner, Fred Hersch, Tom Harrell, Kenny Barron and Dave Douglas.
