In the latter half of the 2010s, Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer JayWood began releasing a strain of low-key bedroom pop that incorporated elements of jangling indie rock, R&B, psych, and funk. From his home base in Winnipeg, he self-released the 2019 LP, Time, then joined the Captured Tracks roster, making his label debut with the acclaimed 2021 EP Some Days.
