Biography
A gifted vocalist known for his subtle and thoughtful lyricism, Jimmie Herrod sings jazz standards as well as original songs. In 2019, Herrod joined Pink Martini for his debut EP Tomorrow.
Raised in Tacoma, Washington, Herrod earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Washington's Cornish College of the Arts and his Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Portland State University. After leaving school he began splitting his time between working in Paris and his life in Portland, where he holds the position of adjunct professor of jazz voice at Portland University.
