Argentine tango singer Jorge Falcón established himself in the late '70s as a rising star with the Héctor Varela Orchestra and enjoyed a decade's worth of success before succumbing to cancer in 1987 at age 37. Born Luis Iglesias on October 15, 1949, in the neighborhood of Parque Chacabuco in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Falcón began his singing career with the tango orchestras of Jorge de Luca and Gabriel "Chula" Clausi.
