American conductor and violinist Joshua Weilerstein is the product of a musical family, which includes his father, violinist Donald Weilerstein, his mother, pianist Vivian Hornik Weilerstein, and his sister, cellist Alisa Weilerstein, who perform together as the Weilerstein Trio.
