Judith Blegen, a successful lyric coloratura soprano, was known for singing the high-flying, sparkling roles, like Musetta in La bohème, Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier, and Blondchen in Die Entführung aus dem Serail; she also excelled in oratorio and recital repertory.
