Biography

Bassist/vocalist Karla Schickele was a founding member of alt-rockers Beekeeper (along with her guitar-playing brother, Matthew), as well as a member of the folk-pop outfit Ida, and a solo artist under the alias k. In 1997, Beekeeper released the single "Anywhere Will Do," and the album Ostrich in 1998, during their brief tenure together. Meanwhile, Schickele appeared on such Ida releases as 1997's Ten Small Paces, 1998's Losing True, and 2000's You Will Find Me.
