The self-proclaimed ‘Great Kat' began her musical career as a classically trained violinist, graduating from the Juilliard School of Music in New York. After six years of solid performance on the instrument, she switched to the guitar and began experimenting with a fusion of classical and rock music. Adopting a high-speed technique, she concentrated on short instrumentals.
