Katy Goodman (sometimes billed by her nickname, Kickball Katy) is a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist whose career encompasses energetic punk rock as well as thoughtful, melodic pop. Born in New Jersey, Goodman first came to the attention of music fans as the bassist with the Brooklyn-based pop-punk trio the Vivian Girls. Formed in 2007, the group made a big splash on the Brooklyn scene with their debut album, 2008's I Can't Stay, and they soon developed an international following.
