Kim Richmond was a studio session saxophonist, flutist, composer /arranger, and professor with an markedly sweet tone. He was based in Los Angeles from the 1960s on and fluid intrhe languages of West Coast and modal, postbop, orchestral and vanguard jazz. He issued nine stuidio albums during his lifetime beginning with 1990's Looking In Looking Out and 2013's Grammy-nomimated Artistry.
