Las Migas

This all-female new flamenco quartet was formed in Barcelona around 2004 by a group of students of Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). Las Migas' original take on flamenco attempted to reflect the bandmembers' different origins and backgrounds: Silvia Pérez Cruz (Girona, fado and jazz), Marta Robles (Seville, flamenco and classical guitar), Isabelle Laudenbach (Berlin, flamenco guitar), and Lisa Bause (French Brittany, music hall and tango).
