Originally founded as a classic-sounding doom band in Sundsvall, Sweden, Left Hand Solution began their career in the early '90s with a set of demos, an appearance on 1993's Metal North compilation, and 1994's Shadowdance EP, featuring vocalist Kicki Höijertz, guitarist Jocke Mårdstam, bassist Peter Selin, and drummer Erik Barthold.
