Pianist Lisa Moore is known for interpretations of a wide range of music from the early 20th century to the present day. She is the founding pianist of the New York ensemble Bang on a Can All-Stars and has collaborated with more than 200 composers.
Moore was born in the Australian capital of Canberra in 1960. Her parents were both academics, one an art historian and the other an economist, and she grew up surrounded by innovative cultural figures such as Charles Blackman.
