Los Rojos is a norteño group formed in Monterrey in 2008 by brothers Alexis, Ángel, and Antonio Ruiz. The trio played local clubs and social events, gathering attention because of their youthful, modern look -- at odds with the genre's traditional dress code -- and by having bassist Ángel play his eye-catching "bajo-bass," which combines bajo sexto and bass into a one-of-a-kind instrument.
