The seeds of power poppy punk duo Lost Balloons were sown in Japan during 2011 when Yusuke Okada of the band Suspicious Beasts asked Jeff Burke of the Marked Men to help him out with recording a song. The duo ended up working on a few songs together and decided they would form a band in the future. When both men moved to the U.S. from Japan, they ended up starting Lost Balloons in earnest.
