Macintosh Plus

Both for its musical content and its iconic cover artwork, 2011's Floral Shoppe by Macintosh Plus (an alias of electronic musician/visual artist Ramona Andra Xavier) is easily the work most commonly associated with the Internet-spawned genre known as vaporwave. The album's pieces contain slowed-down, heavily manipulated samples of soft rock, smooth jazz, and '80s R&B, and all of the track titles are written in Japanese characters.
