Featuring the matter-of-fact vocals and incisive lyrics of Emma Kupa, the Cambridge trio Mammoth Penguins play energetic, bouncy indie rock but aren't afraid to take chances. The trio generates strong, straightforward melodies that add some sweetness to the pithy tone of Kupa's singing, with pop-friendly accents and lean rock & roll energy.
