With a clear, cool voice and a knack for writing simple pop songs in the girl group/noise pop tradition, Martha Ffion began her recording career in 2014 with an EP titled Go. Prior to that, the Irish-born singer/songwriter -- full name Claire Martha Ffion McKay -- had played instruments growing up, but hadn't really begun writing songs inspired by the alternative rock of her youth (like the early Strokes) until she moved to Glasgow.
