English duo Masal use harp, theremin, found sounds, and an array of electronics to create intricate instrumental soundscapes. After releasing their 2020 debut album, Charity Shop, they teamed with shoegaze pioneer Andy Bell for the collaborative 2023 album Tidal Love Numbers. Masal consists of harpist Ozlem Simsek and electronic musician Al Johnson. Simsek grew up in Turkey studying classical harp while learning other instruments at the same time.
