Better known as the chief instrumentalist/songwriter of the Fiery Furnaces, Matthew Friedberger also performed and recorded songs on his own. Before forming the Furnaces with his sister Eleanor, Matthew played with other bands such as the Grand Vizars, Liquorette, and the Mezzanines.
