Matthew Tavares is best known as pianist, keyboardist, and composer for Toronto's BadBadNotGood, though he also makes soft rock and psychedelia under the moniker Matty. Tavares has also done production work with Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone. He co-founded BBNG with drummer Alexander Sowinski in 2010. Their success translated across Canada and Europe. In addition to their own recordings, they collaborated live and on record with rappers Ghostface Killah, Tyler, The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Danny Brown, and others.
