Mattia Ometto

The Italian pianist Mattia Ometto has exploited the diverse training he received in France, Italy, and the U.S., forging a style with elements of golden-age piano virtuosity. One of his teachers, Aldo Ciccolini, has dubbed him "one of those artists whose responsibility is to make audiences perceive what real talent is." Ometto was born in Padua in 1982 and was trained at the Venice Conservatory, where his teacher was Anna Barutti.
