Brooklyn solo artist Bill Gillam began performing as Megafortress sometime in the early 2010s, sculpting a strange web of avant-garde composition, synthesizer experimentation, and unconventional vocal layering. His songs incorporated electronics, textural vocals, and the free-form, floating jazz instruments in airy, sometimes menacing songs.
