The churning, feminist-themed indie punk of New Zealand's Miss June draws on '90s grunge, noise pop, and a snotty post-punk in the tradition of Romeo Void, repurposed for the social-media generation. After releasing the punk-minded Matriarchy EP in 2015, they returned with a more melodic blend of punk and noise pop on their full-length debut, 2019's Bad Luck Party.
