Mortimer

A fluid amalgam of neo-roots reggae and contemporary sounds, Mortimer emerged out of Jamaica's capital in 2014, releasing his own debut EP, Message Music, and guesting with Protoje. Over the coming years, he and producer Winta James issued string of respected singles including 2015's "Warning" and 2018's "Careful." Mortimer McPherson was raised near the Red Hills Road district of Kingston, an area known for producing Buju Banton and Red Dragon. He grew up in a religious family and sang in the church choir, but was soon captivated by heavy hitters like Bob Marley, Donny Hathaw...
