Soulful folk-rock act Muddy Magnolias is a collaboration between Brooklyn native Jessy Wilson and Texas-born Kallie North. The two singer/songwriters came together somewhat serendipitously in 2014, when Wilson was visiting Nashville with her mentor, R&B singer John Legend. While demoing some new songs at the BMI office, she was drawn to a framed photo of a battle-scarred juke joint piano that had been taken by North.
