A proto-punk garage band that formed at Southwest High School in Green Bay, WI in the late 1990s, the Mystery Girls developed a ramshackle, passionate and almost blues-based sound that seems to belong to the mid-'60s as much as it does the early 21st century, although it wouldn't be quite accurate to think of them as a throwback band.
