Biography
The solo project of founding Liars member Aaron Hemphill, Nonpareils takes his music's experimental spirit in even wilder directions. On the deconstructed electropop of 2018's Scented Pictures, Hemphill subverted conventional notions of dynamics, tempo, and melody, and evne though he took a slightly more structured approach on 2024's Rhetoric & Terror, Nonpareils still resembled a warped alternate history of pop music.
