Nueva Vida

Nueva Vida is a Latin gospel band originating in the Oregon town of Hood River, east of Portland. Musically, the band mixes traditional Latin styles such as cumbia with ballads. The lyrics are filled with the Christian spirit. The band released its debut album, Confiaré en Ti, in 2003. It's unclear whether this is the same act as Grupo Nueva Vida, a Latin gospel group whose album Los Mejores Cantos Religiosos proved popular in the United States, reaching number 15 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart in 2008. ~ Jason Birchmeier
