Osibisa is a British-Ghanaian-Caribbean Afro rock band founded in England during the late 1960s by London-based expatriate West African and Caribbean musicians. Their music blended styles and rhythms from their homelands with soul, funk, and rock. Their first seven albums -- 1971's Osibisa and Woyaya, 1972's Heads, 1973's Superfly TNT (soundtrack) and Happy Children, 1974's Osibirock and 1975's Welcome Home -- all cracked the U.S. Top 200 and charted in England, Australia, and Canada.
