P-Love

P-Love is a Montreal-based turntablist and also a producer, although his productions don't fit within hip-hop as well as the indie-electronic preserve of artists such as Caribou, Fog, and Greg Davis. Born in the Philippines but raised in New York, Paolo Kapunan was trained on piano and trumpet while young. He studied trumpet at McGill University in Montreal, but became fascinated with the instrumental capabilities of the turntable and stayed in town to work within the city's fertile electronic scene.
