Biography
Papur Wal are a Welsh band who balance melody and noise like gold medal-winning gymnasts. Inspired by the classic pop music of the late '60s and the grungier tones of the '90s, they craft a familiar sound made fresh by their energy and spirit on 2021's debut album Amser Mynd Adra.
The trio formed in Cardiff during 2017. Ianto (guitar/vocals), Gwion (bass/vocals), and Guto (drums/vocals) were each from smaller towns in Wales and banded together as outsiders with a love for classic '60s and '70s pop such as Big Star and CSN&Y.
