Pathology are a brutal American death metal band whose lineup has evolved considerably since their founding in 2006. The group's extreme sound combines gruesome shock imagery with hardcore influences, blastbeats, and distinctive gurgled vocals displayed prominently on the acclaimed 2009 offering Incisions of Perverse Debauchery. After signing to Victory Records that year, they issued the concept album Legacy of the Ancients in 2010.
