Paysage D'hiver

Black metal at its most extreme is the province of Paysage d'Hiver, a project from the frontman of Swiss group Darkspace. Over more than a dozen releases and counting -- including a cadre of limited pressings that gave way to wider releases starting with 2020's Im Wald -- listeners plunge into interconnected dispatches from a fictional land of ice, represented by sonic landscapes as raw as the genre can get.
