Techno artist Pom Pom has managed to maintain total anonymity since first appearing on the scene in the early 2000s. With few exceptions, nearly all of the project's releases have appeared in Spinal Tap-style pitch-black sleeves on the artist's eponymous label, distinguishable only by catalog number. While the project's identity is unknown, Kompakt's Wolfgang Voigt has mentioned that the records are made by someone from Berlin record shop Space Hall.
