Mancunian garage punk outfit Proto Idiot took shape in 2007 as a solo side project from Hipshakes guitarist Andrew Anderson. Cheekily self-described as "dim-witted" and "ill-advised," Anderson's work under the Proto Idiot banner actually displayed an innate knack for hooky, jangly, lo-fi guitar pop.
