Kate Durman's solo work as Purient blends new wave and indie pop influences with cutting-edge club production, drawing from themes related to fantasy and desire. Also a member of dream pop trio Acopia, she began releasing music as Purient in 2016, and refined her sound with EPs such as 2021's Memories and 2024's Mwah.
