Indie pop trio Regal Degal formed in Brooklyn in 2009, consisting of singer/guitarist Josh da Costa, drummer Jamen Whitelock, and bassist Josiah Wolfson. The group initially had a rough, noisy, experimental rock sound reminiscent of '70s Krautrock as well as the artier side of early-'80s New York post-punk.
