Rhiannon

Rhiannon, best known through her ten years as vocalist with the jazz group ALIVE!, blends classical drama with multicultural street theater, and scat phrasings in her innovative genre of jazz storytelling. Born into the homogeneity of the Dakotas, Rhiannon was lured to California by burgeoning lesbian passions. She received support from a mostly dyke audience come to hear her double-bill with Helen Hooke and Deadly Nightshade and was subsequently introduced to the world of Women's Music and Culture at the First National Women's Music Festival, in Champaign, Illinois, in 1975. ...
