Rohey are an Oslo, Norway-based band whose progressive R&B is part of a lineage that includes '70s jazz-funk and fusion, '90s acid jazz, and 2000s neo-soul and broken beat. Keyboardist Ivan Blomqvist, bassist Kristian B. Jacobsen, and drummer Henrik Lødøen support the strong, faintly smoky voice of Rohey Taalah, a singer comfortable with no-nonsense ballads and complex uptempo numbers alike.
