Atlanta emcee Rome Fortune built a strong following largely through independent means, with fans flocking to his cosmic personality and outstanding self-released mixtapes. Beginning in 2011, Fortune released a series of mixtapes and EPs; 2013's Beautiful Pimp broke through with the press as a noteworthy showcase of his distinctive styles.
