Biography
Taking influence from traditional pop, Toronto-based songwriter Royal Wood's stylized adult alternative music has drawn comparisons to songwriters including countrymen Ron Sexsmith and Rufus Wainwright. After making his recording debut with The Milkweed EP in 2002, he was nominated for a Juno Award for Songwriter of the Year for his third full-length, 2010's The Waiting. He has charted in Canada with releases including 2012's We Were Born to Glory and 2016's Ghost Light.
