Ninth-generation sarangi master Sabir Khan began training at the age of six, working under his father, the legendary Ustad Sultan Khan. Born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan in 1978, he became schooled in the Sikar gharana style of Indian classical music and spent many years performing on-stage with his father while simultaneously developing his own solo career throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
