Continuing the drifty, big bass funk sound of classic West Coast gangsta rap, he wove narratives of violent streets, locked-up friends, and a general gangster lifestyle over the course of a series of strong mixtapes and albums like 2012's I'm Still Here. After years of grinding, he linked up with well-known rapper YG for work on his 2016 album Still Brazy and signed to his Universal subsidiary label 4hunnid.
