Formed in 2000 as a solo outlet for singer/songwriter Paco Tamarit, Spanish indie pop outfit Serpentina craft melodic, complex, neo-psychedelic indie pop nuggets in the vein of Chad & Jeremy, the Essex Green, Parade, and Louis Philippe. In 2002 Paco was joined by sister María Tamarit, officially making the project a duo. Serpentina signed with Spanish indie label Annika the following year, releasing their full-length debut, Blancamañana, in 2004.
